Workshop: Widening the Lens - Feminist Practices in Health Care

Alison Rodgers & Dr. Lisa Clarke

Trent University

Workshop description:

Understanding intersectional and transnational feminism is critical for working in healthcare settings addressing Violence Against Women (VAW) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). How do feminist-informed health care practitioners integrate theory and advocacy into client and patient care? In this workshop, we will review strategies for integrating feminist lenses to support Trauma-and-Violence-Informed Care (TVIC), write case notes, enhance peer and clinical supervision, set up therapeutic and clinical spaces, and develop a community of practice.
